I'M EXCITED. So everyone probably knows about Kate Moss' thang with Topshop, but nothing has really tickled my fancy. I feel like you can get those waistcoats at any Forever 21/H&M type store, and the long skirts just aren't my style. EXCEPT... the white one-shoulder dress coming at the end of this week. I have to be on top of it to get it, because my size usually sells out first. It's in the June/July issue of Teen Vogue (why is it June/July? Why doesn't my birthday month of June get its own issue?) along with other items from the line.

Harlow Tees
HARLOW TEES. Despite all the cocaine use, and seeing her face on every single advertisement from Versace to Rimmel, I still love Kate Moss. That's why I think this Harlow shirt is perfect for all Moss lovers. If Miss Moss doesn't tickle your model fancy, Harlow also makes similar shirts with Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Gisele, and other's faces on them as well. Hmm... it appears RevolveClothing's website isn't working right now, I'll post pictures later (even though you probably know what shirt I'm talking about).
(Pssst... have you checked out Kate Moss' line at Topshop? Doesn't do much for me, unfortunately)

I Slept With Dylan First!
I must have this Junk Food shirt. I'm not so much a t-shirt kinda gal, but this is an exception. Season 2 of 90210 is coming out very soon in May and even though I was about... seven or so when it did it doesn't matter. I've always thought I was born in the wrong decade. Anyway.
I love Luke Perry. Or more like Dylan McKay. Before he left the show and came back with a receding hairline. Who cares if Brandon has sparkling blue eyes (though they are quite pretty)? Dylan is so nonchalant about everything and drives a motorcycle! He's always held the key to my heart. And even though Brenda is supposed to be a bitch in real life, she's great with Dylan on the show (screw Kelly). Must have this! Available here along with several others.
(Look how good Dylan looks on the shirt!)

Random

This isn't actually something I've worn, but more of a product of boredom. I could see it as something suitable for work.
White button down - Express (a hand-me-down from my sistuh)
Black velvet vest - Guess
Cream/gold striped Cardigan - H&M
Black Skirt - H&M
Black tights
I have so many potential outfits and pieces in my closet that I never get the opportunity to put together and wear. One day I will live some fancy luxurious life with white Persian cats and Harry Winston diamonds and I'll go to balls (do people still have 'balls'? Like Cinderella style?) in fancy Vera Wang gowns. Someday.

I shouldn't...

...but I love Lindsay Lohan's Marc Jacob's shoes! I feel guilty because she's wearing them and I don't like to be associated with liking things with girls who let their flowershops hang out, but I really do like them. To redeem me, however, I did see them first on a model on the H&M website in white. I don't like her taupe colored ones, I prefer black or white (taupe washes me out), but they're lovely! I can't find them anywhere though! :(

Tights in California

New York
Is it okay to still be wearing tights in April in California? The days are sunny and warm with a chilly breeze every now and then, and I sort of feel like I can't wear them anymore. But I love tights. They seem so simple and forgettable, but they're so versatile and do so much to an outfit. I wish I were in New York, where fashion seems to go beyond just premium denim and sleeveless tops. It's more interesting, more unique. Or maybe I'm just jaded by west coast style.

Cuz you're a New York City Boy...

Alexander McQueen
Back from NY, and what was intended to be a quick "nap" that ended in 8 hours of sleep and missing Top Model and Shear Genius. Must've been from the trip. Anyhoots, some of my favorite stores in NY are the obvious ones and less obvious. Here the top three (in no order):
1. JEFFREY - I love this store. The people are super nice and have you seen all of their shoes? Dsquared, Louboutins, Manolo, YSL, those Miu Miu Maryjanes a la Lindsay Lohan ad campaign, and more! The men (only seemed to be men working...) were really friendly and even "helped" pick out this silver minidress for me as a joke, since it required gigantic boobs which I lack. This was after I said a silver Balenciaga jacket would be too big for me (and of course, way too expensive).
2. OUT OF OUR CLOSET - Not quite sure if this is the exact name since I didn't look at the name of the store when entering or while in. It's a consignment store that sells tons of Birkins and other designer labels like Prada and every other big name for much, much cheaper. TONS of women's shoes for over 50% off retail. Sure they're used, but in great condition! Found a pair of turqouise Marc Jacobs shoes I liked, but unfortunately they were a size 5. I am not. Also found a tiny fuschia Balenciaga Le Dix bag that tickled my fancies. I wanted to come back, but no time!
3. MANOLO BLAHNIK - Since there are only two stores, how can you not go? And forget the selection of Manolos at Saks and Neiman Marcus and everywhere else you go, the store of course has the most! And THE best. Looking for those Sedarbys Carrie got stolen from her in "A Woman's Right to Shoes"? They're there! In silver, red, black, camo, and though I didn't see them, a white bridal satin. Tons of pretty shoes not sold in department stores. Tiny little brick store near the MoMa.

Too Much Skinny
I am sick of skinny jeans. Not completely sick of them, but sick of having only the choice of skinny jeans when shopping. I find I can only wear my skinny jeans with heels or boots, otherwise I feel stumpy and wide-hipped, and that's no fun. It's just everywhere I go, skinny skinny skinny. Shouldn't everyone who wants skinny jeans already have them? I haven't seen many wide-legged jeans in stores, except for a few of JBrands. I haven't tried them on yet. I'm afraid they'll be too overwhelming on my 12-year-old figure. BUT, Paige, one of my favorite jean designers, has some petite styles out. I tried on a pair of Laurel Canyons but I think I like them a bit longer, so I can cuff them up. By the way, if you have not tried on Paige jeans, you must. The rise isn't too high or low (on the Laurel Canyon), and the fit is perfect. They barely stretch out, and the cloth lining around the waistband makes them super comfortable. You cannot judge a pair of Paiges by photos online. The pockets aren't that fancy (although I do like the Las Palmas design), but the fit and comfort is enough to make up for lack of fancy details. A good bootcut beats a skinny jean any day.

Fat Hair
Oh it's been a long, long time. I've been neglecting my blogger responsibilities, but now that I have more time, I will try to keep it up, even if only I read this.
Also, Frederic Fekkai's Sheer Hold Hairspray is the greatest hairspray ever. I only curl my hair, and humidity, cigarette smoke (not mine!), and stuffy gross air in clubs and such flatten it and make it gross. All other hairspray would make my hair all hard and frizzy, so I never used it or any other hair products...EXCEPT this one! It has a nice smell and it doesn't leave my hair all hard and nasty afterwards. It's flexible, my hair remains soft, and it holds! Worth the $23 if you have a difficult time finding a good hairspray.

Love Barbie

And Barbie loves MAC. I've always thought MAC was an overrated makeup brand, a brand that 16 year-olds pick up mostly for the packaging and advertising and because everyone else wears it. But I admit, I have a lot of MAC, but that's because it's cheaper than the brands I would really like to use, and well, I also like the packaging.
And now, MAC is doing a Barbie Loves MAC collection, and I am a sucker for cool looking makeup, even though I don't know how to do makeup at all. But when I'm at the counter looking at all the pretty colors, I somehow believe I can do it and end up buying something totally impractical (for me), like purple eyeshadow. Anyway. I love the sold-out Rocking Chick lipstick, the one on the models above. Who knows how often I'd wear it? It doesn't matter. Every fat bitch needs a hot pink somethin' or another!
I also love Barbie. I look past the unrealistic tall freaky woman she would be if she were real and the psychological damage she does to young girls because Barbie is fun and she gets to drive around in a Ferrari and live in a giant mansion and wear outfits by Diane Von Furstenberg. And now she loves MAC, and so does Fat Bitch.

Patrick Robinson for Target
It wasn't until this past year that I became Target-crazy, but who can blame me? All the designers (my first exposure was the colorblock Tara Jarmon dress) at such cheap prices!
I just came across the Patrick Robinson line for Target. And maybe it's because he followed Proenza, who you know I love (got the purple bustier!), but nothing in his collection does much for me. Here's a dress that may be okay. Kind of reminds me of Missoni. I can't really tell because the picture is so small and that scarf covers the straps:
But this next dress, how can I like it? The model looks like she has nappy hair in need of a root touchup and looks like she hates it herself:
This one reminds me of one of the better (and few) things that came from Michael Knight's line:
It all looks very earthy and beachy. Just in time for summer (when Proenza ends). Too bad I don't care much for it. Behnaz Sarafpour kind of reminded me of Laura's stuff from last season's Project Runway, but I did like the New York charm necklace and the strapless white party dress. It was just a little too limited to the holidays. Whatever. I got the Proenza bustier!

Collection Bebe
I know I haven't posted as much as I'd like to, but I've been one busy Fat Bitch. It seems like Fat Bitch is constantly on a schedule, always have to get things done by a certain time, always in a hurry! Anyway. I just saw that Bebe now has a designer line, called Collection Bebe. I actually like a lot of the stuff like this:
I have a softness for white dresses.
But then there was this:
What the hell is that? Is that a bathing suit cover-up? Or is it an actual outfit?
But then there was this:
Happy Early Valentine's Day

and let your arrow go...
...straight to my lover's heart for meee.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, Target's red heart bikini, for only $14.99 a piece. I've already worn mine once (only in San Diego can you do this in late January/February). No I will not model it, but the headless girl on the Target website does it for me (girlfriend needs a tan).
Wear this while playing "Cupid" by Sam Cooke. Or at least it's what I do. What can I say, Fat Bitch has a soft side for hearts and fat diapered babies.

Wearing Today
Almost every writer of every fashion blog I read posts pictures of his/her outfits for certain days. I suggest everyone join Closet Therapy's "Wearing Today" forum, where everyone posts, well, what they wear that day. It's always fun to see, and we all love it, so do it!

Bustier Blasphemy
What! How come, in my hunt through five Targets, I could not find ONE silk bustier in any size? Why is it already sold out before Fat Bitch has one? I got the huge black bag (kind of looks like a laptop bag, but bigger with only handles) and some white cropped pants, which I will get rid of to have that bustier. The purple bustier dress is online in all sizes, but I am waiting for the silk purple bustier of my dreams. I will have one. Nothing stops Fat Bitch.

Proenza Sunday

Sunday, February 4th is the launch of Proenza Schouler at Target. I will be getting up early to get there right when Target opens. Clothes give me the motivation to wake up. Also, my size in everything always seems to go first. I like the button down blue and purple skirts, the bustier, the happy purple dress, and the gray sweater over it. Yay for Sunday!
rainy days require cupcakes

The other day it rained and I had to go to class. I got to use two of my Christmas gifts from elder sister. I'd worn the galoshes before but never in the rain, so they lost their virginity to the rain this week.

Hollister fuzzy sweater from about 3-4 years ago
Mossimo (Target) grey dress. The back is more exciting, but I was too lazy to take a picture of it (strappy tie type thing)
Cream knit tights
Chooka Cupcake Galoshes
I feel like some sort of knit cap would've topped it off. Oh well.
And yes, that is my socked foot peaking out from the bottom left corner.
