It Never Ends

My list of wants will never end. Kind of like The Simpsons. Doh.

Today at the mall I saw about 193849 things I wanted but wa
s about $9381003 short. As I wrote about before, I want a pair of corduroy or velvet pants. I found a pair by Antik that I liked at Macy*s, but can't seem to find a picture of them online. They were black and velvet, a good alternative to jeans for the cold winter (as cold as Southern California gets). I also found a cropped pair of Frankie B.s that I liked, but I don't need anymore jeans, though I have zero pairs of cropped denim.

I also found a few cashmere Michael Stars sweaters I liked. But being cashmere, they were muy expensivo.

I stepped into the new Gucci store and decided that vintage Gucci is much better than modern Gucci. The Fashion Valley store has RTW too, for those looking for more than a purse.

This L.A.M.B bag caught my attention at Nordstrom. They also had the Speedy-shape style in smaller sizes and different patterns... I just can't remember the exact pattern yet. I love the Speedy shape. They remind me of Gucci with the stripe and all.

I also went to the new Bloomingdales and looked at a bunch of James Perse (I didn't go to the store that also just opened though), Splendid, Michael Stars, and Ella Moss basic tops (no Ella Moss Melody Dress).

Oh, the dress above is Peter Som Spring 2007. So light flowy and pretty.

Zac Posen Sp07

Some of the lovelies I would buy if I had oodles of money and places to wear them:

I love the whole thing - the white, the full skirt, the cropped jacket.

I've always liked super deep cuts like on this dress, but don't you need at least little boobage for it? The big satin bow just makes it perfect.

I want a Zac Posen Barbie in this gigantic dress. And I want her to have dark hair. Someone write a letter to Mattel!

Topless

Everyday I go into my closet thinking I need more tops, sweaters, jackets - typically tops. It often feels like I don't have much even though I spend countless hours searching for the perfect jeans, jacket, whatever. I realized recently though, that what makes a lot (note: not all) of my style are basic sweaters and tops. They get spruced by a colorful purse, necklace, and the just-right boots. Hanging in my closet, these items look like nothing special. It's when it's put together that it becomes more interesting. Good hair is a must as well. Don't you feel gross if your hair is bad that day (even if the clothes are good)? If hair is bad, all else fails. Nothing else matters if hair is nasty. Good hair days are a necessity. At least to me.

Everytime I go home my mom calls me "shoe collector". I think she's referring to the cheapo shoes I bought in high school and left at home when I moved out. Man, but I wish I could collect shoes the way I want to collect shoes. I need more $ for that though. Like, $500-600 ish for a pair of shoes kinda money.

A big portion of my closet is dedicated to jeans, shoes, and more recently, purses and dresses. Lots of the dresses are dressier and can't be worn everyday or often at all. I have tons of jeans and shoes to wear all the time, but what about tops? Where are my tops? How come I find it so difficult to find a good shirt?

Most tops that I do have are basic. Basic knit turtleneck and crewneck sweaters. Basic tank tops. Black, white. They seem so dull when looking at them in the closet and my dresser. I realized it's the accessories that jazz up my ensembles. So it's these I need to splurge (as "splurgy" as I can do) on. Shoes, bags, jewelry, etc. They make up and complete the "outfit".

Which reminds me, I love tights. In all colors. Knit tights, especially. They are wonderful during winter underneath everything, even when not showing, to keep me ohsowarm.

A Very Target Christmas

Most things I got this flu-y Christmas were from Target. I'm not complaining. My Pumpkin (aka boyfriend) got me the white Behnaz taffeta dress I talked about with regret in one of my Target posts! I think I've lost about 5 pounds since my flu-ness, but the dress is already tight as it is. I need to get those 5 lbs. back though-- my jeans just aren't fitting the same. I feel very Nicole Richie-esque (minus the Louboutins, dammit).

I also received the Hello Kitty teacup alarm clock/radio and a McDonald's gift card for my inner fat bitch. So it's not so much "inner" fat bitch as it is "all over the place" fat bitch. Well, whatever.

I love all the high-waisted skirts (I dunno yet about them jeans, though) so I'm excited for Proenza Schouler's debut at Target.

Pictures from Spring 2007.

Merry Late Christmas

Sorry for the lack of posts. I am still alive, though I felt I was barely so one week ago. I was Fat Flu Bitch, and was bound to the bathroom floor. It was not so lovely. I am better. I will write tons later, but must run some errands so will leave you with a picture of some tasty cupcakes.

P.S. Sprinkles cupcake mix now for sale!

Nooo!

That Ella Moss dress? SOLD OUT IN MY SIZE TODAY. I AM SO SAD. I am looking for it EVERYWHERE and placed a special order inquiry with Revolveclothing (where I planned to get it TIL THEY SOLD OUT), but that can take up to 3-7 days for them to tell me WHEN they will get more. I wanted it by New Years, and this just ruins my day. TOTALLY ruins it. They have it in black, but I want VANILLA. I KNEW I shouldn't have waited! You wait, and what happens? THEY SELL OUT! If anyone can find one in vanilla in an XS, LET ME KNOW and I will owe you my first-born.

Woe is me.

Zac Posen

I LIKE HIM. A LOT. NOT JUST HIS CLOTHES, HIM TOO. BUT IS HE FLOATING IN THAT PICTURE? WELL HE SHOULD BE.

SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

Dear Santa

I haven't been that good this year. This has actually probably been the crappiest year in terms of most everything. Please feel sympathy for me. In addition to everything below I've already posted as a "must have", I also want the following for Christmas (ignore the unrealistic-ness of it all):

ALL Christian Louboutins, especially the Yoyo slingbacks in white, yellow, black, the Clichy in anything, the Decollette 868 in any color, and the Sing Sing in black and white.

LV Cerises Speedy 25 (available on eBay only), or Damier Azur Speedy 25.

Balenciaga Classique or Le Dix in any color.

Nina Ricci dresses, like the one on my Myspace and most from the Spring 2006 RTW.

LV Gold Miroir Papillon.

Polka Dot Galoshes for crappy rainy days available at Nordstrom.

Sailor or birthday outfit for my doll Samantha.

New bedding. Shabby chic themed.

These C Label Apollo heelsthat I want so badly:

Please, Santa Baby.

J Brand

I love the J Brand Corduroy jeans. I saw a pair today but was unsure if they were the 14" or the 12" (I didn't try them on). They'd be good for winter, since jeans feel gross when they get wet and they're super cold to put on in cold ass mornings. I like J Brand's because they're simple and don't have loud flashy labels, and no one would know what they were just by looking at them. Well no one who doesn't know about J Brand, at least.

No.

I was cruising through Myspace today when I came across this:

Why?! WHY. And the comments people left her about her being "sexi" and "f*ckin hott". WHAT, are these people blind. And is SHE blind? I had to happy face her face out because, well just look at it. THAT IS A SHIRT. No matter how much weight she lost (comments say she lost weight), you should never wear a SHIRT as a dress (unless it's a tunic, which is a different story completely). Her VAGINA is like, a centimeter away from the hem of that shirt! PUT SOME PANTS ON. She could've followed the leggings trend and put some of those on! Even though I don't think leggings work at all with this shirt, and those shoes are just asfheuncdkslel (there are no words), it would've been better than NO pants. If someone had taken a picture from behind, I SWEAR she would have upside down plumber ass. And the cork Soda-ish brand shoes are... well I won't get started with that.

Ella Moss

I love Ella Moss.

That is why. With the right shoes (the Dolce Vita posted before, boots with jeans, oh so many possibilites) and big hair. MUST HAVE.

Experimentation

They say the 20s are the time for experimentation in style. You can get away with the most during this decade. They say try crazy things, but those who do (Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan - maybe that's because they don't wear underwear anymore?) are criticized. Well what the heck, here I go.

Remember the early 90s when shirts were cool underneath flowy flowery dresses?

Minus flowers and not-so-flowy. My middle is sort of wrinkly and saggy looking because the dress kind of scrunches up right around there. I tried. Not very crazy at all, but who knows what I'll come up with next?

Miss Rosie

I likes roses. And roses on sweaters. Coffee Bean inspiration.

Must have (the rosie). After December 15.

Sienna

I know I have the above Sienna Miller picture on my Myspace. It's the messed up image that I like, not her. If only she would get her own style! I mean it's not like she's ugly or anything. I know people are influenced by others, but down right copying of a style of someone you know and should respect is disrespectful, in my opinion.
