Ever since I was little, I've always loved velvet. It's a heavier material, so it's difficult to wear here in warm southern California, but I'm happy to see it's popped up everywhere in stores again for winter. I've always loved the rich look of it and the soft texture. I saw the dress above at Urban Outfitters last night and almost bought it. It comes in black, a dusty purple, and blue. It's simple and basic in the front with the cutout in the back. I think it'd look great with some patterned tights and the perfect pair of little heels.
